Samsung's TST - what it is?
With Samsung Galaxy J2 and J2 Pro (yeah, right more like "pro") company introduced also Turbo Speed Technology (TST) which should speed up phone for visible amount.
Will it? Probably yes - it is possible to boost up phone's performance from system level.
Is it easy? Not at all - if it realy was so easy we would have this kind of technology for years now.
But to the meritum. With Galaxy J2 Pro Samsung released spot for TST also, it gives some info about how TST works.
On its most basic level it starts with pre-installed apps: they are smaller and need less resources so phone works faster then with normal versions;
Real time effective memory management - we have real time memory management build into Android but it's not that effective. Currently used solutions kills apps but not necessarily processes and that means apps effectivly still uses resources;
Minimalising resource usage by external apps - basically it forces apps to use as little memory as posible without loss in performance.
So one question arises: Is it as effective as more RAM? And answer is simple - no, there is no way model with 1GB RAM and TST could concure with 2GB without TST but it will be deffinitly more effective then 1GB without TST.
So summarising: TST is more a way to improve device effectiveness when compared with similar models then to catch up with better equiped ones. Samsung is doing great marketing with this spot but not 100% true to reality. Honestly I'm exited with thought about TST in stronger devices where its effects can be more visible unless technology isn't advanced enough to effectively work with lots of memory.
